Receivables Based Financing

FAQs - Receivables Financing

What are the advantages of receivables financing?

  • Flexible financing that grows with your business
  • Instant liquidity of up to 90% of the gross invoice amount
  • Customer default risk is transferred
  • Increased equity-to-assets ratio, improved balance sheet ratios and therefore possibly improved ratings

How does receivables financing affect the balance sheet?

By selling your receivables you receive instant liquidity from your current assets. The cash can then be used to reduce current liabilities. This will improve your balance sheet ratios and may improve your credit rating.

Is the industry in which my company operates suitable for
receivables financing?

In general, companies who perform their services in segments and where these segments are also paid in instalments are not suitable; for example, this is common in the construction industry, in project financing, for machine and facility construction, and in software development.

Is my company suitable for receivables financing?

If you can answer "Yes" to the following questions, then your company will generally be suitable to benefit from receivables financing:

  • Are you a limited company or partnership incorporated in, and/or with its principal place of business in Germany?
  • Do you have a trading history of at least twelve months?
  • Do you have annual sales of at least €1m?
  • Are your goods or services fully delivered at the time the invoice is issued?
  • Are the receivables free from the rights of third parties (no assignment) not subject to counter-claims (offsets)?
  • Do you have adequate processes and controls to manage your receivables?

How high are the costs?

This depends on the amount of financing that you require. If you would like to obtain a free, no obligation quote, please click here.
